Start out with the console pad and the dash pad to get going,........ A screwdriver and a 7mm net-driver is about all you need. ( You might need a Philips head for the dash pad ! ) Installing the headliner will take more time - but not many more tools. Remove the dome light first. Then remove the sun visors. Then remove the plastic trim from around both door windows. Then remove the coat-hanger and speaker covers. The rear seat over-head trim comes off next. Then,............ Remove the TOP screw to each of the rear hatch panels ( do not remove the hatch panels from the car. By leaving them installed they will support the headliner while you move to the front of the car. Remove the seat belt trim from the upper seat belt mount on each side. Remove the headliner plastic mounting clips from just above the windshield. Once the clips are removed the headliner is "free". Remove the seat belts from the headliner on each side. ( you should be able to maneuver the headliner and not damage it ) Open the hatch and pull the headliner out the back of the car. I can't be there in person - but that about covers removing the headliner from the car ! |
